JOHNSTON COUNTY -- Lester Godwin, 88, died Friday at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson. He was born in Johnston County to the late Milford and Savannah Bailey Godwin.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay Morgan and Patricia McKeel of the Stancil Chapel Community; brother, William Vester Godwin of Brogden; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cassie Raper Godwin.
