Thomas James Edwards, 62, died Friday at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Cox Edwards; his parents, Roscoe V. Edwards and Ida Mae Whaley Edwards; a sister, Janice Edwards; and two brothers, Chester Edwards and Joseph Edwards.
Services will be at 7 p.m. this evening. Visitation will follow in Community Funeral Home Chapel in Beulaville. Graveside services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Whaley Cemetery in Beulaville.
Mr. Edwards is survived by three daughters, Patricia Edwards Woodell of Buffalo, N.Y., Toni Edwards Maready of Chinquapin, N.C., and Deborah Edwards Davis of Mount Olive, N.C.; a son, Thomas Jeffrey Edwards of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Elsie Ezzell, of Jacksonville and Georgia Bowman of Summerville, S.C.; two brothers, Bobby D. Edwards of Zebulon, M. Charles Edwards of Pink Hill; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
