BILL LEWIS

FOUR OAKS -- Mr. William Ralph "Bill" Lewis Sr., 75, of 1063 Harper House Road, died Thursday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lewis was born in Wayne County to the late Thurman Ralph Lewis Sr. and Beulah May Hare Lewis. He was the former owner and operator of Rosewood Redi-Mart and was currently operating the Take-A-Brake on Highway 70.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Grantham Family Cemetery near his home.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Joyce Grantham Lewis; his daughter, Charmane Sutton and husband, Linwood, of Four Oaks; a special daughter, Martha Gaskins of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Lance Sutton and Amy Nicole Sutton; his brothers, Spencer Lewis and wife, Judy, of Bailey, Marvin Lewis and wife, Janice, of Bailey, and George Lewis and wife, Betty, of Brazil; his sisters, Dorothy Morgan and husband, James, of Wilson, Ann Parrish and husband, Oliver, of Knightdale, Carol Lewis of Burlington and May Lamb of Bailey; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Nell Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Ralph Lewis Jr.; his brothers, Bob Lewis and Donald Edward Lewis; and his sister, Louise Rackley Massey.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
