ROBERT C. PARKER SR.

Died March 13, 2007

ROXBORO -- Robert "Carlton" Parker Sr., 75, died Tuesday at Person Memorial Hospital. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Milton E. and Addie Hayes Parker. He attended N.C. State University, served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was a retired electrician with the IBEW Local #553. Mr. Parker was a member of New Life Independent Baptist Church.

He is survived his wife, Helen Keene Parker; sons, Robert Carlton Parker Jr., and William Franklin Parker Sr., both of Roxboro and John Michael Parker Sr., of Milton; brother, Charles B. Parker of Roxboro; sister, Melba Joyce Barden of Goldsboro; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Brooks and White Chapel with pastor Mike Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visita-tion was held Thursday at Brooks and White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Robert Carlton Parker Jr., 2679 Oxford Road, Roxboro.
