DOROTHY N. PUGH

Dorothy Norris Pugh, 92, 2702 Ridgecrest Drive, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Pugh was born in Wayne County to the late Daniel J. and Mary Surles Norris and was married to the late Alfred E. Gunner. She was a member of the Goldsboro Woman's Club, the Goldsboro Garden Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Pugh was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she served on the Altar Guild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Homer Morris and the Rev. Thurman Horney officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd R. Pugh; stepdaughter, Barbara Lassiter and husband, Jon, of Wilmington, Del.; stepgrandchildren, Ron Lassiter of Wilmington, Del., and Laura Oliver and husband, Mike, and step-great-grandson, Nicholas Charles Oliver of Newark, Del.; niece, Mary Ann Watkins and husband, J. Rex, of Reston, Va.; greatnephew, Jay Rex Watkins and wife, Diane, and daughter, Caroline of McLean, Va.; great nieces and nephews, Brooke and Neal McCloud and son, Ian, of Annadale, Va., and Lynn and Merrill Malvini and their children, Madeline and Michael of Oakland, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther Shumate and Clara Pate and a brother, Jesse Norris.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.

Family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
