GLADYS B. BIGGERSTAFF

Sept. 19, 1911-March 11, 2007

Gladys Louise Boggs Biggerstaff, 95, died Sunday at Britthaven of Havelock. Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late John Palmer and Gertrude Garrison Boggs and was preceded in death by her husband, Daries O. Biggerstaff; sisters, Beatrice Buckner, Fleta Harrill, Ethel Wilkinson, Bryte Lutz, Maude Henley and brother, Johnny Boggs. A member of the First Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Carey Newton Sunday School Class. She was a retired supervisor with Cherry Hospital.

Graveside services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Emory Trainham officiating.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brownie and Emory Trainham of Emerald Isle; son and daughter-in-law, Daries and Elizabeth Biggerstaff of Youngsville; grandchildren, Daries Biggerstaff of Raleigh, David Biggerstaff of Youngsville, Kathy Little of Creedmoor, Maurice Keyes of Mansfield, Ohio, Joseph Keyes of Lenior, Lee Keyes of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tim Keyes of West Redding, Conn.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Family will greet friends at the graveside immediately following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
