RALEIGH -- Funeral services for Walter A. Miller Jr., 38, 5041 Walling Ford Drive, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from the St. Mark Disciple Church of Christ, Goldsboro, with Bishop Alton Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Miller died Sunday at his residence. He is the son of Lillie Ruth Miller and the late Walter A. Miller Sr. He was a 1986 graduate of Southern Wayne High School, served in the U. S. Army and was currently a correctional officer at Central Prison in Raleigh.
He is survived by a daughter, Anisha Miller of Raleigh; mother, Lillie Ruth Miller of Dudley; brother, Roy Andrew Miller of Ellerbee; sister, Tiffany Shenise Miller of Ellerbee; grandmother, Lillian Miller of Dudley.
Viewing will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Olive.
