RICHMOND, Va. -- Maurice D. Wooten, died Saturday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wooten and a daughter, Cathy Wooten.
He is survived by five daughters, Audrey Diane Nicholson, Rita Duvra, Frances Motley, Joan Conway, and Jean Williams; sons, Dallas, Scotty and Maurice D. Wooten; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Artist of Richmond, Va., Patricia Wooten, Hennis Cherry, Susie Wooten, Mary Singletary, all of North Carolina; brothers, William Lewis of Richmond, Va., and Kay Polk Wooten of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be Friday at noon at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1900 Whitcomb St., with the Rev. William Moore officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service.
Arrangements are being handled by Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., Richmond, Va.
