LAGRANGE -- Kyle Martin Berger, 20, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Kyle was born in Austin, Texas, on Dec. 22, 1986 to Fred Berger and Becky Martin Berger of LaGrange. He was a student at Wayne Community College. An avid golfer and fisherman, Kyle was a member of the Three Eagles Golf Course and was a black belt in taekwondo.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Williamson, the Rev. Edward Thornton and the Rev. Gerald Stacy officiating. A private interment will be Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Nikki Sasser and husband, Brooks, of Greenville; his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Joyce Martin of LaGrange; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Ruth Berger of Greenville, S.C.; his aunts and uncles, Janet and Jim Nabors of Las Vegas, Nev., Pam and David Herring of LaGrange, and Michael and Sherry Price of Mount Olive.

Flowers are welcome or memorials in his memory may be made to the Kyle Martin Berger Scholarship Fund, in care of BB&T, 104 E. Washington St., LaGrange, N.C. 28551.
