Erastus Allen, 80, of 206 W. Second St., Princeton, died Friday evening at his home.
He was born to the late John B. and Bessie Roberts Allen.
He was the husband of the late Marianne Wegener Allen and retired from the U.S. Army, where he served as a licensed practical nurse during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.
Services will be today at 5 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton. The committal service will be conducted Monday morning at 10 at Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Jim B. Allen of Chicago; daughters, Kathryn Boyles of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Barbara Wiggins of Goldsboro; brother, Elcana Allen of Pikeville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. today and immediately following the service.
