Joyce Eunice Combs, 65, 568 Stoney Creek Church Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Memorial service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St., Fremont.
Mrs. Combs was born in Wilson County to the late Johnnie and Daisy Ferrell Bass. She attended Faith Believers Outreach Ministries and was retired from Burlington Industries and Renu Life of Goldsboro.
She is survived by her husband, Jim H. Combs; sons, Stevie Lee Combs and his wife, Tara, of Rocky Mount and Jimmy Roger Combs of Goldsboro; daughter, Amy Combs Kennedy and husband, George Michael, of Grantham; sister, Eva Grimes and husband, Jack, of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren, Evangeline, Bradley, Shaun, Cole and Dylan.
The family will receive friends following the service Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
