ROCKY MOUNT -- Della Batten Morgan, 83, died Sunday at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount. She was born in Durham County to the late Lonnie May and Ollie Mae Moore Batten.
Graveside services will be today at 4 p.m. at Stantonsburg Cemetery, with the family receiving friends immediately following the service. The Rev. Finley Cutshaw will officiate.
She is survived by four sons, David W. Morgan of Wilson, Darryl P. Morgan of Rocky Mount, Dennis E. Morgan of Battleboro and John R. Morgan of Fremont; three daughters, A. Faye Harris of Rocky Mount, Donna McLees of Chicago, Ill., and Deborah Morgan of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, Erwin Batten of Durham, Jack Batten of Bracy, Va., and Donnie Batten of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Ramona Rauschert of Durham and Catherine Bailey of Raleigh; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
