OTIS L. ALLEN

Otis Lee Allen, 78, 1732 Old Grantham Road, died Sunday at his home. Born in Durham County, he was the son of the late Willie H. and Tula Cates Allen and husband of the late Pauline Privette Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Occupation of Japan from 1946 to 1949. He moved to Goldsboro in 1955 and worked with Ernest Glass Co. for more than 30 years.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Brian Rawleigh officiating.

He is survived by four sons, Ernest, Wayne, Johnny and Holt Allen, all of Goldsboro; two daughters, Charlene Wing and Carolyn Sue Jones, both of Goldsboro; brother, Kenneth B. Allen of Winston-Salem; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Family members will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
