CARL SMITH

Carl “Ricco” Smith, 68, died Wednesday. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a loyal friend to the Columbus Eagles Motorcycle club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seth E. and Mary E. Smith; six brothers; five sisters; his wife, Annie Ruth Smith; daughters, Alexis Smith-Brown, Sheri Smith-Ezell of Houma, La., and Jawana Smith; 43 grandchildren; brothers, Stephen, Vernon Richard Smith, both of Goldsboro; sisters, Shirley Washington and Marcia Coleman, both of Columbus; Gwinn Smith of Cleveland, Janet Parker and Darlene Smith, both of Las Vegas, and Stephanie Christian of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Services were held Saturday at noon at Watkins Road Church of Christ. Raymond E. Sweet officiated.
