SMITHFIELD -- Steven Cleo Sutton, 42, died Thursday at his home.
Steve was born in Wayne Coun-ty to Cleo L. Sutton and the late Mary Lee Phipps Sutton. He graduated from Golds-boro High School. Steve served his community as a police officer, later as a Paramedic and his country in the U.S. Army.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Fran Sutton and his son, Austin Cook of the home.
