Alma Pittman Stanford Matthews, 78, died Wednesday. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy E. Stanford and Eugene Matthews; brothers, Bobby Ray Pittman and James Pittman Sr.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Kenly, with the Rev. Barry Stallings and the Rev. Charles L. Renfrow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Stanford of Smithfield, Stan Stanford and wife, Carolyn, of Goldsboro; sister, Jean Wooten of Pikeville; brothers, Robert Lee Pittman of Wilson, Charles Pittman of Kenly; four grandchildren, Jesse, Michael, Melissa and Christie Stanford.
Family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Coley Funeral Home.
