JOHN MCNAIRY

John Adams McNairy, 68, passed in Orlando, Fla. at 9:50 p.m., February 8, 2007.

He was born in Goldsboro on March 20, 1938 to C.B. McNairy Jr. and Rowena Adams McNairy. They have preceded him in death along with his brother Charles Banks McNairy III. He moved to Orlando, Fla. in 1963. Mr. McNairy was a retired construction engineer for T.A. Loving Company and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was the Charter Exalted Ruler of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of South Orlando Lodge #2694 and Associate member of B.O.P.E Lodge #1079 of Orlando. He was The Charter Treasurer of the Loyal Order of the Moose #2345 of Pine Castle and a member of The Moose Legion #178 of Indian River. Also, an Air force veteran, member of the N.R.A. and the Kentucky Colonials.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth; his sons, Charles and Richard; his grandsons, John and Adam; four nephews and four great nieces. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home, Goldsboro, NC.
