EDNA E. SMITH

KINSTON -- Edna Earl Smith, 70, died Sunday. Mrs. Smith attended Hillside Original Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired beautician.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her special family and many spe-cial friends.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Teresa Lynn Davis and stepson, James Dallas "Charlie" Smith Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Willie Smith, of the home; step-daughter, Lou Ellen Smith and special friend, David Quinn, of Kinston; stepsons, Roger Smith and wife, Emily, and Willie James "Bill" Smith Jr., all of Kinston; grandchildren, Paul Avery and wife, Joy, of Dover, Candace Webb and husband, Chris, of Hookerton, Allen Smith and wife, Amie, of Greenville, Jeb Smith and wife, Toni, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Dallas Smith and wife, Jessie, of Kinston; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren and Jessica Avery, Rebecca and Victoria Webb, and Savannah Briley Smith.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the Chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with visitation to follow, and other times at the home, 2644 Plantation Circle, Kinston. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
