HARDAWAY P. STOWE JR

Hardaway "H.P." Pegram Stowe Jr., 85, died Thursday in Henderson. He was born in Gaston County to the late Hardaway Pegram and Susan Stowe and was married to the late Annie Ruth Stowe. A member of Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, he worked for Mount Olive Pickle Company as a bookkeeper for over 35 years.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven A. Wiggs officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
He is survived by one son, Marshall S. Stowe of Greensboro; two daughters and son-in-law, Laura A. Stowe of Raleigh and Susan S. and Terry Cease of Henderson; one sister, Betty Stowe of Gastonia; and two grandchildren, Amanda Judith and Charles Lester Cease.
The family will be receiving friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome however, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church, 105 N. Breazeale Ave., Mt. Olive 28365.
