Mattie Moore Conerly, 78, died Wednesday at the home of her son. She was born in Louisiana.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Hope-well United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Bailey will of-ficiate. Inter-ment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.
She is survived by four sons, Chief Deputy John F. Conerly Sr. of Newton Grove, Bobby B. Conerly Jr. of Raeford, Stephen E. Conerly of Pikeville and Captain Michael W. Conerly of Goldsboro; one daughter, Marci A. Conerly of Pikeville; four sisters, Thelma Barr of Sweetwater, Ala., Velma Lyles of Texas, Hazel Wayland of Texas and Opal Jarriel of Ga.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Byron Conerly Sr. and two brothers.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church.
