MILDRED M. JONES

Mildred McCullen Jones "Aunt Bill", 89, formerly of 454 Harrels Hill Road, died Thursday at SunBridge Care and Rehabitation in Mount Olive. She was the daughter of the late Willie Roy and Katie Britt McCullen and the widow to Cedric Parker Martin and Eugene Jones. She was a member of Brownings United Methodist Church and the Mount Olive VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. McCullen was a sales associate for Peggy Ann's dress shop.

Funeral services will be Sunday at Brownings United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Lillie Chou and Jamie Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, Hugh Martin, 107 Stephen St., Mount Olive.

She is survived by her sons, Hugh Martin and wife, Annette, of Mount Olive and Ambert Martin and wife, Mary, of Raleigh; a sister, Louise McCullen Williams and husband, Douglas, of Grantham; grandchildren, Lisa Ann Drabek and husband, Scott, of St. Francisville, La., Stephen Martin of McGees Crossroads, Jesse Drabeck of Crawford TX, and Randy Owensby of Lenoir City, Tenn.; great- granddaughter, Emileigh Christine Drabek of St. Francisville, La. and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by brothers, E. Clayton McCullen and James T. McCullen; sisters, Minnie M. Overman, Aline M. Long, Edna Wilkins McCullen, and Lillian McCullen; and a granddaughter, Christine Lee Owensby.

Flowers are welcome and donations maybe made to Brownings United Methodist Church or Mount Olive VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Arrangements are being handled by Shumate Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
