INEZ N. STEINERT

CALYPSO -- Inez Nicholson Steinert, 79, died Tuesday at SunBridge Care and Rehabitation for Mount 0live.

Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she had been a cafeteria manager in the public schools of N.J. before she retired and relocated to N.C. She was a past member of Ledgewood Baptist Church in Succasunna, N.J. and Rones Chapel Methodist Church near Mount Olive and had attended the Calypso Presbyterian Church, Calypso.

Memorial service will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Calypso Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Chris Currie officiating. Immediately following the service, the family will greet friends in the fellowship hall of the church, and at other times they will be at the home of Mick and Karen Marcin, 135 Dry Pond Meadow Lane beside North Duplin Elementary School.

Another memorial service will be held in N.J. and the interment will be in the Vail Cemetery in Parsippany, N.J.

Mrs. Steinert is survived by her husband, Clyde E. Steinert of Calypso; a daughter, Karen Marcin and husband, Mick, of Calypso; a son, Richard Gerber and wife, Patricia, of Calypso; a brother, Calvin Nicholson of Fla.; two sisters, Carol Shroeder of Mo. and Audrey Bartlett of Calif.; four grandchildren, Michael Marcin and wife, Mendy, Kristin Marcin, Jessica Gerber, and Jarrod Gerber, and two great-grandchildren, Michael Marcin and Emilee Marcin, all of Calypso.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to North Duplin Elementary School Library, 157 North Duplin School Road, Mount Olive, 28365.
