ELIZABETH O. WALLACE

Elizabeth O. Wallace, 67, died Monday at Britthaven of Goldsboro.

Entombment will be today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at United In Christ Church, 1314 Patetown Road, with the Rev. Ira Williford officiating.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Sampson County to the late Harry and Glenden Moody Owens. She was employed with Kemp Furniture in Goldsboro for 17 years

until their closing and a past nurses’ aide with Woodard’s Care of Goldsboro. She was a charter member of United in Christ Church in Goldsboro and served as past custodian of Clingman Street Church of God for seven years.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny “J.C.” Wallace; two sons, Johnny Carl Wallace Jr. and his wife, Brandy, of Pikeville and Stephen Dudley and his wife, Cindy, of Scranton, S. C.; a daughter, Debbie Douglas and her husband, Eddie, of Darlenton, S. C.; one brother, Gary Owen of Selma; one sister, Faye Newell of Selma; five grandchildren, Caleb Wallace, Seth Wallace, Jason Douglas and his wife, Kristin, Angie Calderon and her husband, Tony, and Miranda Spivey and her husband, Josh; and eight great-grandchildren, Kelli and Kristi Douglas, Ronzie Calderon, Corey and Wesley Douglas, Brittany, Haley and Eddie Jax Spivey.

A special thank you is extended to the kind people at Woodard’s Care, Kitty Askins and Britthaven of Goldsboro, to Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Goldsboro for their support and generous gifts over the years and to Goldsboro Worship Center for their love and support.

The family will receive friends following the service Thursday at United in Christ Church and other times at the residence, 105 Spring Drive, Dudley.
