MOUNT OLIVE -- Jean Carol Sloan, 60, died Thursday at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home, and at other times, the family will gather at the Sloan residence at 409 N. Chestnut St., Mount Olive. A committal and burial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maplewood Cemetery, Mount Olive.
Miss Sloan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Kelly Sloan of Mount Olive; a sister, Betty Sloan Pate and her husband, John Pate, of Pikeville; their daughter, Leigh Pate Kasin, her husband, Stuart Kasin, and their son, Benjamin Kaisin, all of Ashland, Va.; a brother, Donald Hayes Sloan, his wife, Leona Sloan, and their daughter, Rhianna Sloan, all of Wilmington; an aunt, Norma K. Albritton of Calypso; and an uncle, Nelson Kelly of Greensboro. Jean Carol's father was the late Marion Hayes Sloan.
