Louetta Alice Talton Jones, 86, a resident of The Pines of Goldsboro, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The Reverends Barry Stallings and Jerry Stevenson will officiate. Graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Ms. Jones was born in Wayne County to the late Preston and Alice Benson Talton. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Oscar L. Jones Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Lexington, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar L. Jones Sr. and four brothers, Nathan, Dewey, Leo, and Norwood Talton.
The family will receive friends following the service Thursday at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
