BROWNIE S.C. GRADY

Brownie Stokes Carraway Grady, 82, 506 Forest Hill Dr., died peaceably Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center following a period of declining health.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Virgil Davis officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

A native of Wayne County, she was born July 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Steven Clerence and Maggie Stokes Carraway. Mrs. Grady resided in Goldsboro her entire life and retired from Wachovia Bank. She enjoyed life and loved her family and many friends.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Relmond Grady; sister, Mildred Mercer of Goldsboro; brothers, Paul Carraway and wife, Waldine, of Fuquay-Varina and Glenn Carraway and wife, Dean, of Kinston. Treasured dearly were her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Grady, and brother, Earl Carraway.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Dr., Goldsboro, 27534, or Goldsboro Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Mildred Mercer, 403 S. Best St., Goldsboro, 27530

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home Tuesday night from 7 to 9 and other times at the residence.
