MILFORD BAKER

Died Dec. 27, 2006

Milford Baker, 51, chief of police in Greenevers, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Duplin County to the late Shelton and Pastor Minnie Federick Baker. He received his education in the Duplin County Public School System.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Ever Ready Gospel Tabernacle in Warsaw. Dr. Curtis Lee will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Tereasa Gill Baker, of Faison; four brothers, Paul Baker of Turkey, N.C., James Baker of Hanover, Md., Erwin Baker of Raleigh and Michael Baker of Charlotte; and a sister, Alis Baker, of Kenansville.

A viewing will be held Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw.

The funeral procession will assemble one hour prior to the service.
