EDNA H. TWIGG

Edna Mae Hines Twigg, 74, 1811E. Azalea Drive, died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Luby and Pearl Jones Hines, wife of the late Alvin Bill Twigg Sr. and mother of the late Alvin Bill Twigg Jr.

Mrs. Twigg was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Jack Boyette Sunday School Class. She was retired from the GE Corp. with more than 30 years of service and met many dear friends through the Elroy Farms Market.

The funeral will be held Monday evening at 6 p.m. the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Jimmy Whitfield and Mr. Jack Boyette officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Twigg is survived by one son, Don Twiggs and wife, Cindy, of Goldsboro; two daughters, Debby Burrell and husband, Michael, of Chesapeake, Va., Janet Kearens and husband, David, of Goldsboro; 13 grandchildren, Crissy Rouse and husband, Reid, Melissa Jones and husband, Kevin, Bryan Twiggs, Christopher Burrell, Heather Twiggs, Kelly Dawson and husband, Cole, Kyle Grey, Justin Burrell, Kasey Grey, Alexis Burrell, Daniel "Boone" Moody, Elizabeth Edwards and John Edwards; one stepgrandson, Brian Justice; five great-grandchildren, Bradley Jones, Makayla Jones, Channing Rouse, Kaitlyn Burrell and Everett Rouse; two brothers, Luby C. Hines, of Goldsboro, Jim E. Hines of Goldsboro; two sisters, Hilda H. Capps of Goldsboro and Jewel H. Twiggs of Goldsboro; very special friends, Tina Sullivan, Virginia Gilbert, Pam and Harold Edwards; and a very special nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Sixth Floor, Gail Phillips.

Flowers are welcome and memorial gifts may be directed to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Goldsboro.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Family members will greet friends at the church until 8 p.m. Monday evening, and at other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and David Kearns, 635-B Community Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
