FOUR OAKS -- Booker T. Eldridge Jr., 54, 1200 Devil's Race Track Road, died Wednesday at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Booker T. and Maude Eldridge and a sister, Elouise Underwood.
Funeral services wll be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Christian Church, Durham St., Smithfield, with Dr. Alex Cox officiating. There will be a public viewing from 1 to 2 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Theresa Eldridge of the home; a son, Tavares M. Graham of Charlotte; four brothers, Arnold Eldridge of Scotch Plains N.J., James and Sherwood Eldridge, both of Plainfield, N.J., and George Benton of Fairfield, Calif.; two sisters, Minnie Mae Sanders of Plainfield, N.J. and Maude "Caroline" Nixon of Four Oaks.
The family is asking memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
