JAMES F. DAVIS
Died Dec. 26, 2006
James Franklin Davis, 69, 206 S. Claiborne St., died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County to the late James and Lovely Whitfield Davis. He served 20 years in the U. S. Air Force and retired as a security guard with Georgia Pacific Corporation.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Garris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jerusalem Church Cemetery in Seven Springs.
Mr. Davis is survived by one sister, Helen Marie Gonzales of Goldsboro; two nieces, Hellena Gonzales-Pitt and husband, Julian, and Helen Juanita Gonzales, all of Goldsboro; three nephews, James Earl Davis and wife, Linda, and Pablo Gonzales and wife, Lucy, all of Goldsboro and Pedro Gonzales and wife, Angela, of Anniston, Ala.; 11 great nieces and five great nephews.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
Viewing will be held today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
