MARGARET B. PIERCE

PIKEVILLE — Mrs. Margaret Britt Pierce, 87, of 3574 Nahunta Road died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Pierce was born in Wake County on December 17, 1919 to the late Carey Lawrence Britt and Lena Lillian Beaty Britt. She was married to the late James Milo Pierce. Mrs. Pierce was the former owner and operator of Pierce Farm Center. She was a member of Nahunta Friends Meeting and the Nahunta Extension Home-makers Club for over sixty years and had perfect attendances for 45 plus years. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed remembering people in her family and community by sending cards for every occasion and also by visiting the sick and shut-ins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Chapel with Ken Spivey officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Gale Pittman and husband, Roger of Nahunta; her sons, Vic Pierce of the home and Craig Pierce of Nahunta; her sisters, Ruth Howell of Irmo, SC and Dorothy Strickland of Pikeville; and four grandchildren, Travis Pittman, Jennifer Pittman, Abigail Pierce and Olivia Pierce.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Britt; her brothers, Dan Britt and Louis Britt and Luther Britt who died in Tucker, GA on the same day as she.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
