LA GRANGE -- Margaret Ann Crocker Walters, 77, 507 West Washington St., died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Walters was born in La Grange to the late Daniel Borden and Lois Barnes Crocker. Margaret Ann was a member of La Grange Christian Church and retired from the Town Of La Grange as Assistant Town Clerk.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Dexter Wasson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Walters is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward Berkey Walters; daughter, Lois Ann Sullivan and husband, Gary; and a grandchild, Nikki Sullivan. Margaret Ann was preceded in death by a son, Edward Berkey "Eddie" Walters Jr. and a brother, Linville Crocker.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sullivan, 3645 Willie Measley Road, La Grange.
