She will be missed by many. Amy was a member of Walker Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served as youth leader and Sunday school teacher for many years.

Amy was a devoted mother and had served on the advisory council for both Spring Creek Elementary School and Spring Creek High School.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherman Guthrie officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery.

Amy is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Jimmy A. Smith. In addition to her parents, she also leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Laura Rose Smith and Elizabeth Daly Smith, of the home; her brother, Alan Daly and his wife, Marie of Seven Springs; and her nephews, John Preston Daly III and William Alan Daly of Seven Springs.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Walker Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, C/O Jean Daly, 2290 NC 111 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Pallbearers will be Bo Britt, Danny Jackson, Allen Best, Jeremy Joyner, Ronnie Gay, and Charlie Tew.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. and also following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her parents, 322 River Road, Seven Springs.
