RONALD R. PERCISE

WILSON -- Ronald R. Percise, 74, a native of Goldsboro, died December 24, 2006.
Sports was a love for Ron. He played on the ACC (now Barton) basketball team that won honors in the mid-fifties. ACC named him to their Hall of Fame. While in the military, he played baseball and was a minor league player, too. Many will recall his time as a referee and umpire in many eastern school contests through the Walter Jones Booking Group.
In Wilson, he served on the school board and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He had retired from Borden Brick Company.
Funeral, Wednesday, 2 p.m., First Baptist Church. Inter-ment, Maplewood Cemetery.
Surviving is his wife, Julia Satterthwaite Percise; daughters, Jennie Powell (Chuck) of Wilson and Amy Percise of Raleigh; son, Roy Percise of Charlottesville, Va.; grand-daughters, Jessica Percise, Julia and Sara Webster; brother, Donald Percise of Goldsboro.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
