SMITHFIELD -- Eunice Davis Vernon, 84, Skyland Drive, died Monday. She was born in Conway, S.C., widow of Troy Frank Vernon Sr., member of the Church of God and an employee of Burlington Industries, retiring after 35 years.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Underwood Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Braswell and the Rev. Alex Thompson officating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, T. Frank Vernon Jr. of Princeton and Donald Ray Vernon of Mooresville; two daughters, Glenda Peedin of Pine Level and Barbara Miller of Goldsboro; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
