Walter William Allen, 60, 811 Argo St., died Sunday at the University of N.C. Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Fu-neral Home and Crema-tory. Bishop James Shaw will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born in Philadelphia, Penn., to the late Walter and Delma Denson Allen. He was employed with Hanson Industries for over 30 years until 2001 when his health began to fail him.

He is survived by two sons, Walter Eugene Allen of Selma, Anthony Samata Allen of Penn.; three daughters, Patricia Allen of Goldsboro, Wanda Prince and her husband, Stevie, of Selma and Rhonda Allen of Goldsboro; two brothers, Eugene Denson and his wife, Deborah, of Chester, Penn. and James Dupree Jr. and his wife, Belinda, of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Delma Dorean Connor of Norfolk, Va.; an adopted son, Morris Rowe of Dudley; a son-in-law, David E. Parker of Newton Grove; his favorite brother-in-law, Horace Tom Troublefied of Angier; his mother-in-law, Naomi Troublefield of Goldsboro; a special friend, Marzella Holloway of Goldsboro; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Raye Troublefield Allen and his daughter, Belinda Penelope Parker.

Viewing will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the residence.
