LUCY P. LAMBERT

CHARLOTTE -- Lucy Padgett Lambert, 88, 3633 Shane Lane, died Sunday at her home. She and the late Rev. W. C. "Lanky" Lambert were married for 49 years. Mrs. Lambert was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ella Clopton Padgett and a native of Forest City. She was a faithful minister's wife and a member of North Belmont Church of God.
The family will receive friends today at East Belmont Church of God, Bel-mont, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A celebration of life service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Leonhardt and the Rev. Bill Sheeks officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons: Paul Jerry Lambert, Leesburg, Fla.; and the Rev. Jimmy W. Lambert, Princeton; three daughters, Delores Jean Graham, Mount Holly, Judy Elaine Scarborough, Charlotte, and Janet Sue Murray, Oak Island; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers serving are Shannon Lambert, Neil Lambert, Brent Lambert, Mike Murray, Barry Soots and Jeff Soots.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Belmont Church of God, 2316 Acme Road, Belmont, 28012 or Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, 28204.
