EARL BARNES
The funeral for Earl Barnes will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe A. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Barnes Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Glendora Barnes of the home; four sons, Robert Barnes and Alvin Barnes of Fayetteville, John Cox of Goldsboro and Clifford Barnes of Augusta, Ga.; three daughters, Joyce Barnes and Torleta Jones of Goldsboro and Angel Barnes of Beltsville, Md.; four sisters, Aletha Lewis of Goldsboro, Nancy B. Harper of the Brian Center of Goldsboro and Lila Sewell and Emma Yates of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Laroy Barnes and Eddie Barnes of Goldsboro; and one aunt, Gertrude Jones of Washington D.C.
The viewing will be held Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home, 1377 Tommy's Road.
