Patricia McWhorter Ellis, 61, of 107 Shamrock Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Weston, W.Va., to the late Max C. McWhorter and Helen B. McWhorter. She had worked with the Peggy Ann Dress Shop in Goldsboro and was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church, where she had served as organist.
She is survived by her husband, William Ellis; her son, Brian Ellis and wife, Miranda, of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Marissa, Jared, and Bethany; her nephew, Jeffrey Johnson and wife, Bernece, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and her niece, Cindy McIntyre, and husband, Dennis, of Junction City, Ore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Johnson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
