AVENER WARREN

Avener Sherrill Warren, 82, of 607 E. Raintree Lane, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Warren was born in Sampson County to the late Orie Warren and Mary Jernigan Warren. He was the retired Director of Membership Relations for FCX Farm Supply Company and had worked with the company for 45 years. Mr. Warren was a member of Coker Memorial Church and their Men's Fellowship.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Murray officiating. Private interment will be held Tuesday at Clinton Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lessie Sutton Warren; daughter, Terry Featherston and husband, Rick of Goldsboro; son, Sherrill Warren of Goldsboro; brothers, Jarvis Warren of Charlotte and Dr. Rufus Warren of Sneads Ferry; and grandchildren, Ricky Featherston Jr. and wife Rhea and Amanda F. McKenna and husband Michael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coker Memorial Church, 150 LaGrange Road, LaGrange, N.C. 28551 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends Monday at Seymour Funeral Home following the service and other times at his home.
