Ralph Liles McDonald Sr., 75, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. M. Eugene Carpenter will officiate. The family will greet friends in the parish hall following the service.
Mr. McDonald was born in Bladen County to the late Walter Leak McDonald and Margaret "Maggie" Hair McDonald. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he graduated from the University of Georgia. His career was spent with the State of North Carolina dairy program and the Wake County Health Department.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Andrews McDonald; son, Ralph Liles McDonald Jr. and wife Kimberly; daughter, Martha Clayton and husband Allen; grandchildren Lee, Jack, Davis, and Grace; sister Frances; and brothers Neil and Hugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Goldsboro or St. Stephen's Children's Music Program, 200 N. James Street, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
