MALCOLM PERRY SR.

Malcolm Glenn Perry Sr., 84, of 129 Perry Drive, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 12, 2006, at his home.
Mr. Perry was born in Franklin County on August 24, 1921, to the late Richard Redding Perry and Alma Wheeles Perry. He was the former owner of Goldsboro Builder's Supply and Perry Concrete Company and founder of Builders Discount Center. Mr. Perry was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army.
For those who knew him, Malcolm will be remembered by his charm, quick wit, and his smile. He will be missed by many. The love in Malcolm's life was family, friends and work. If Malcolm ever got the opportunity to brag about his grandchildren, he always took that opportunity.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Olsen and Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Graveside services will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Perry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hilda Grissom Perry; his daughters, Wanda Perry Ohm and husband, Stacey, of Raleigh and Donna Perry Mercer and husband, John, of Goldsboro; his son, Malcolm Glenn Perry Jr.. of Rocky Mount; and his grandchildren, Stephen and Michelle Ohm, Danny and Summer Langston, Lexi Mercer and Jordan, Trey and Lauren Perry. He is also survived by two special people, Mary Perry Hunt and Ricky Jones.

The family will receive friends Friday at Seymour Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m., and other times at his residence.
