RAYFORD FORD
Died Dec. 26, 2005
Rayford Ford, 61, of 1700 Richard St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Dillard Middle School, 1101 Devereaux St. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Ford was the son of Ozzie Ford and Emma Coley Ford Stallings of Goldsboro and was a 1961 graduate of Dillard High School. He retired as supervisor of environmental services at O'Berry Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Doris Reid Ford; one son, Brandon (Katina) Artis of Duluth, Ga.; three grandchildren; one sister, Alberta Ford of Fayetteville; a mother-in-law, Henrietta Reid of Pikeville; one sister-in-law, Mary Reid Jones of Goldsboro; nine brothers-in-laaw, Moses Mays of San Antonio, Texas; Willie "Ray" (Marilyn) Reid, Bobby, Melvin and Rev. Tedaro (Ethelene) Reid, Etheldria "E" Reid of Pikeville, Roy (Ethel) Reid, Bayron (Ollie) Reid of Goldsboro and Kevin Reid of Raleigh; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and good neighbors.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ozzie Ford Jr., and one sister, LayForest Ford Mays.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
