HAROLD E. SMITH
Died Dec. 9, 2005
Harold Edward Smith, 79, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Davie County to the late Stacy K. and Dora Smith, he was a farmer, an avid hunter, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hugh Smith, Vernon Smith and Joe Smith.
A funeral service will be held Sunday (today) at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur Warren will officiate. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith is survived by two brothers, Gray Smith of Dudley and Billy Smith of Beaufort; three sisters, Ruth Taylor of Hiddenite, Sue Wilson of Texas, and Betty Fabianio of Georgia.
The family will greet friends following the committal service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his nephew, Stephen G. and Laura Smith, 200 Gray Ave., Dudley.
