MOUNT OLIVE -- Katie Mozingo Pearsall, 81, died Thursday at SunBridge Care Center.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Tyndall Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Otto Griffin Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearsall was a retired sales clerk having been employed by the old Rose's Department Store in Mount Olive, Boyd's Walgreen Drugs, John White Drug Store and Rite-Aid Drugs.
Surviving are two sons, Leonard Pearsall and his wife, Susan, of Mount Olive, and Bennett Pearsall and his wife, Denise, of Greenville, S.C.; two daughters, Kay P. Jones and her husband, Johnny, of Mount Olive, and Wanda P. Babb of Mount Olive; a sister and brother-in-law, Edna M. and John Thigpen of Mount Olive; a sister-in-law, Mabel Mozingo Britton of Mount Olive; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Mozingo was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Pearsall; a son, Braxton Leonard Pearsall, her parents, Bryant and Grace Herring Mozingo; and a brother, Joe Mozingo.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Saturday during the hour prior to the service. At other times, they will be at the home of Leonard Pearsall, 833 Old Smith Chapel Road, Mount Olive.
