MARY ANN WEATHERFORD
Mary Ann Pearsall Weatherford, 74, of 106 Danny Circle, went home to be with her Lord on Friday after enduring a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Weatherford was born in Wayne County to the late Virginia Ione C. Pearsall. She retired from Winn-Dixie with 25 years of service and was a beloved and faithful member of Westwood United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Weatherford is survived by her husband, Samuel Weatherford; her children, Jenny Roof and husband Robbie of Florence, S.C., and Sharon Rathbone and her husband Brett of Goldsboro, Bobby Kennedy and wife Hope of Goldsboro, and Frances Sanderford and husband Paul of Moncure; her grandchildren, Mandy Wooten, Miranda Wooten, Brittney Kennedy, Austin Kennedy, Kayley Roof and Paul Sanderford, Jr.; her brother, Bill Pearsall of Goldsboro; and her sister, Betty Hankins of Goldsboro.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Kennedy; her brother, James Edward Pearsall; and her sisters, Mollie Costin and Virginia McReady.
