GREENVILLE -- A. Roscoe Barnhill Jr., 86, brother of Catherine B. Mooring of LaGrange, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home. The Rev. Charlie Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
In addition to his sister, Mr. Barnhill is survived by his wife, Edith Hodges Barnhill; three daughters, Carolyn Lee, Melva Robinson and Wilma Steig of Greenville; another sister, Ellen B. Gray of Greenville; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Daisy Lane Brock, 81, of 225 Jim Outlaw Road, died Monday at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mickey Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Brock was born in Wayne County to David Daniel Lane and Martha Pate Lane. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a former employee of Burlington Industries and Mount Olive Sportswear.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Bryant David Lane, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Raymond E. Brock of the home; one son, Raymond Edward Brock, and his wife, Janice McClenny Brock, of Mount Olive; one daughter, Jo Ann Brock Cherry, and her husband, Henry Travis Cherry Sr., of Mount Olive; two sisters, Emma Lane Dixon and Flora Lane Royall of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Patricia Ann Cherry Strickland, Henry Travis Cherry Jr., Janet Raye Brock, and Kathryn Jan Brock Gregory, and three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Strickland, Hailey Rae Strickland, and Katelyn Elizabeth Gregory, all of Mount Olive.
Friends and family will be received tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence.
