DEEP RUN -- Iris Hill Howard, 83, of 2750 Smith-Grady Road, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Snowflake, Ariz., and a graduate of Louisburg College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Howard, and her parents, Roy C. Hill and Nannie Mae Smith Hill.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Howard Bilton and husband, John of Deep Run; and one brother, John Clifton Hill and wife, Elizabeth of Kinston.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. The Rev. Adrian Grubbs will officiate. Visitation will follow the service at the grave site.
