WALLACE -- Marvin Teachey Sr., 87, died Wednesday at Daysprings Assisted Living of Wallace.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery on Firetower Road in Rose Hill. The Rev. Jimmy Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Teachey was preceded in death by his parents; Jacob A. and Lena Rouse Teachey, three brothers, Maynard Teachey, the Rev. A.R. Teachey and Elmo Teachey; and two sisters, Raddie Teachey and Arleen Teachey Fussell.
His survivors include two sons, Marvin Teachey Jr. of Chesapeake, Va., and Robert Werth Teachey of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren, Robert Werth Teachey II, Lindsey Teachey, Dr. David Teachey and Melinda Teachey; and one great-grandchild, Conner Teachey.
The family will receive friends at Community Funeral Home in Rose Hill one hour prior to the service on Friday.
