JIMMIE B. HOWELL
Jimmie Benson Howell, 67, of Spring Arbor, Kinston, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was an office manager and radio broadcaster for many years working with WGBR, WELS and WNCT.
Her husband, Patrick Howell, and her parents, Jim Benson and Lela Strickland Benson, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Simone Pate and husband Billy of Greenville and Kim Romagna and husband Randy of Kinston; one son, Tony Howell and wife Jennifer of Baltimore, Md.; her grandchildren, Will Pate, Blake and Matthew Romagna and Gavin and Peyton Howell; and two sisters Pat Hines and Vickie Lassiter of Kenly.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston. Steve Oliver will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
The family will remain at the funeral home to receive friends following the memorial service until 8:30 p.m. At other times they will receive friends at the home of Kim and Randy Romagna, 2805 Pinehurst Drive, Kinston
